Balancing working from home & watching your little one(s).

Coronavirus has gone from being on TV far away in China to controlling our community with fear here at home. It’s crazy to think it’s become so prevalent in our lives today. It almost feels like a nightmare we’re waiting to wake up from. I remember when my mom first told me about it a few months ago, I didn’t think much of it because I guess it felt so far away. I, of course, felt bad it had affected so many people in China, but I didn’t realize the grandeur of its effect until it hit home.

When it was first discovered in Europe, it caught my attention more, then when it made it to Washington state in the U.S. it caught my attention even more. It’s now all over the country, in all 50 states, and it’s still baffling to me. It continues to shock me. Anyway, here we are almost completely shut down and quarantined in a ghost town. At this point, schools are closed, day cares are closed, malls are closed, retail stores are closed, and restaurants are closed.

If you are in a position you can work from home and you’re home with your kiddos, it can be tough to get work done while entertaining them. It can also be hard to get used to staying at home and not have much to go out to. While I don’t know how long this will go on, this is our new reality for now, so here are some fun, educational activities you can try at home with your little one(s) and yourself.
